$900 Gran Turismo HD on PS3
Freeman was telling me about this, so I did a little digging to confirm it for myself since it sounded so off the wall.
After paying for your copy of Gran Turismo HD and popping it into your PS3 you'll notice it comes with no Cars and No tracks. You get a menu that allowes you to go online and pucharse cars and tracks for up to $4 each. They estimate that if you purchase EVERY car and EVERY track, the total game comes to $900.
There is a Premium edition of the game that you pay more for up front and get 30 cars plus 2 tracks.
This is all part of a new "Microtransactions" system that Sony plans to implement in many of their PS3 titles. Being able to buy many little enhancements to your game for a little more cash(much like Xbox Market Place, but costs more).
Sounds like an amazing deal. Very inovative. Sony is really thinking of the gamer here.
