i played for a good part of my youth. i feel that the best decks are 2 colors unless u have the money to buy dual lands so u can venture into 3 colors. that is just my opinion. Control decks take alot of mana and they lack creatures . i dont know what u mean by aggro. and life is always good. its just how you use the life after u gain it that matters. i played up to fifth dawn i believe and i did not delve that much into the editions after that except i played a few games of ravnica with one of my friends decks. i am curious to know what rares or uncommons u have to build that deck around. with magic everyone looks at cards differently and u always can learn something new. its a great game but without the money it gets old fast.
