How many presidents have been assassinated?

Without looking it up, who knows:

1) How many presidents have been assassinated
2) What were their names
3) How were they killed

I was amazed at how many presidents have been murdered in office.

There are tons of presidents who've been assassinated but if you're talking strictly US presidents there's Kennedy, Lincoln and Mckinley I think. There was another one that I don't remember. For some reason I'm thinking cartoon character. I unno. I think they were all shot too 'cept Mckinley and that other dude died afterwards in the hospital or something.

the more difficult question is how many have died in office (and which ones--you have 4 of the 8 listed here)

Well, I meant Presidents in office (I assumed if they weren't they would be former Presidents).

Luckily so far everyone seems to be on the right track. Zin was close, not Harrison, Garfield. I always assumed it was just Kennedy and Lincoln.

Yeah I thought there was only Kennedy and Lincoln as well until my dad set me straight. And it was Garfield. Of course it was. I was thinking Wilkens but I have no idea why that name came to mind. I don't even know if that's a president. It's just stuck in my head for some reason lol.
