This forum was opened in 2007 and after nearly 16 years needs to be retired. The forum software is long out of date and has become progressively harder to patch in order to run on newer hosting software. I have done what I can to get the forum up in a read-only view, but posting will remain broken. A few old members still hang out on Discord if you'd like to stop by to say hello.
Thanks for the memories. -Lhurgoyf

Wow. Just heard it. So far, the 6 songs i've heard, I'd say it's a great CD from them. I'm extremely surprised. The bonus tracks are my favorites, lol. QWERTY owns.
EDIT: Some of the softer songs I could do without, but I'm sure they'll appeal to many of the younger crowd.

I think its a good mix of songs. Not all soft or hard...nice mix to listen to without getting bored listening to the same ole shit from one song to the next. Nice mix indeed.....

Personally I find there's a reason they should warp their voice a tad bit lol. I don't like the softer songs or the harder songs but I like the inbetween ones lol.

It's on usenet, but not on newzbin. On the usenetserver website, use the global search to find it.

i dont think the original has been leaked yet. none of the song titles that are said to be on the original cd are on these leaked ones. ive downloaded 5 different "leaked" cds and they all have 20 songs, the schedueled cd has 12 minutes to midnight
plus the song What Ive Done thats been released with the leaked versions is nothing like the actual single the band has released.. this cd sounds nothing like them at all, i hope to god its not their release. when i listen to it, it reminds me of listening to a band that is made up of teenagers and are just starting to play.

Oh wow. I got a quite different impression of the CD. it feels like they have matured a lot with this new CD. I still prefer their heavier stuff, but I do appreciate how they have developed overall as artists. Some of those songs I would have never guessed were in their range before hearing.
If it is their CD, there's a few slow songs i would ditch, but there is a lot of good music on there.
MSG me on Xfire sometime ith. You still using usnet?

In a recent interview with MTV.com, Chester Bennington explained that the nu metal sound from their previous albums is completely gone. He also stated that the new album is a mix of punk, classic rock, and hip-hop beats.[4]
In the December issue of Blender magazine, Chester talked a little bit about the sound of the upcoming album, "Rick has brought more of a stripped down, classic-rock and hip-hop kind of feel. We're using vintage guitars and drums carved out of wood and skin for a more tribal sound. It's definitely not nu metal."
In an interview with Brazilian paper Folhateen, Chester confirmed that the 'rap/rock', 'nu-metal' sound that Linkin Park came to be known for, is almost non-existent on the new album, "This time around, Mike Shinoda is singing a lot more. It may seem like he's not on the record, but he's doing a lot of the harmonics. He also sings a couple of songs alone. We're presenting ourselves in a different way. We've had a hair cut, clothing changes and, here it is, here is a new thing."[5]

That kind of makes it sound like those slower songs are the new CD. That their "nu metal" sound in songs like QWERTY, is gone, and those good songs on that 20 track CD probably wont make it to the final release.
Sad really. I enjoyed their "nu metal" sound.
