This forum was opened in 2007 and after nearly 16 years needs to be retired. The forum software is long out of date and has become progressively harder to patch in order to run on newer hosting software. I have done what I can to get the forum up in a read-only view, but posting will remain broken. A few old members still hang out on Discord if you'd like to stop by to say hello.
Thanks for the memories. -Lhurgoyf

I didn't post 4 posts one after another btw, lol. I had replied to 3 other posts that should have been in this post, and when all 4 posts were merged together into this topic, it stuck all my posts one after another ordering by time.

idk which is sadder. The fact that you made so many consecutive posts or the way you made another post explaining about it.

As I said before, I used to make $17 an hour doing Marketing & Publicity, and with how many hours we put into this, and still have to go to finish up the website, 2k would have been a bargain.

Hmm, interesting. This is the sort of field I'd like to indulge myself into as a career but I'm also afraid there are already plenty of companies people would use regardless of what else is out there. I'm kind of afraid to go to school for this and end up making no money.

Depends. If you decide to do something local, you could easily make money. The way I started out years back, was I went to all the Realty companies and local Radio Stations and did up their websites for $500 to $2000 for one of the Radio sites. I then Charged the Realty sites a monthly fee for updating it. I would put up any new houses they would get on the website, pics, etc, and sometimes they'd have me go take the pics myself. So I made a bit of money from the monthly maintenance fee, as well as the original designs of other sites.
Overall, for a while there, I was living pretty nice off what I made. I recommend starting local though, and growing from there.

Hmm, I appreciate the info. I'm also stuck between that and being a General Contractor. I guess I could try and do both, I dunno. Either/or will make some decent money if I get it going.
But if I do wind up going down the web design patch I'll take your advice. Thanks!
