This forum was opened in 2007 and after nearly 16 years needs to be retired. The forum software is long out of date and has become progressively harder to patch in order to run on newer hosting software. I have done what I can to get the forum up in a read-only view, but posting will remain broken. A few old members still hang out on Discord if you'd like to stop by to say hello.
Thanks for the memories. -Lhurgoyf

It's as easy as that. You get the Card, you put the .nds ROM files, 1 per game, on the microSD card, turn on your DS, and play.
As for what Luminesca said... I haven't even played those games you're talking about. I played a couple of Mario games just to try them, but there's so many other good games on the DS right now. They've sold something like 45 million units world wide, so I expect there to be assloads more good games :O
I have about 250 US roms to go through, and I plan to play at least half of them, lol. The homebrew scene is tight too.
If you have a DS, get an R4. When considering the thousands of dollars in games and things you can download for it all for free, that $45 it costs for the R4 seems cheap.
BTW, my PSP sold. It went for $275 :O WTF? I have no idea why it went for so much, but I'm not complaining :)

Sweet, but how do you put games on it? You have to have some kind of adapter that holds media cards, like the R4 uses microSD cards, I have a 1gig in my DS. Also, did you have to flash your DS? I didn't want to mess with my DS at all with mod chips or flashing firmware. The R4 doesn't change anything on the DS. The DS thinks it's a normal game, heh.

So how did you manage to get it free?
The "M3 Simply" is the shit. It's the latest M3. It's the exact same thing as the R4. Identical hardware and all. You own a Slot-2? You must if you flashed your firmware? Though, there may be Slot-1 ways I have not read about.
I just bought my DS though. When the warranty is up I'll get a slot-2 and flash the DS then, primarily so I can play GBA games and use the web browser. There's a web browser in development for the R4/M3, but it's not out yet and probably wont be as nice as the current ones.. The warranty is what I worry about the most though. Since so many people flash their DSs, i'm sure it's been made very safe by now.
Main thing that I love about the R4 and M3 though is just how simple they are. No work involved. Drag a game over to the disk, click play. I'm not much into tinkering with firmwares like I had to with my PSP :(

I mean your M3, not the roms, lol. I have all 855 NDS roms, I know how to get those. You said... OOOH, you meant the roms were free. When you said "my dslite is hacked... its so nice having it.... Free Free? ", I thought you meant your M3.
My bad.
