If we are selling a CD below cost (like through our deals where you pay from $1 to $5 per CD) or giving a CD away for free, we must put a hole through the barcode. We do this so these records cannot be returned to our distributor for credit where we have to buy them back at full price (yes, some shady stores do this when you sell them a used record for a buck). If we did not punch the barcode, we could not offer such incredibly cheap deals to our fans. Note that these are Brand New records with full artwork...not used copies or the like. They just have a small hole in the barcode...which can save you up to 70% from our regular prices.
