Special Forces: Escape and Evade
Author: })FA.IceBlade

Note: I’ve separated each objective into tasks to make it easier. Read each task once before doing it. It shouldn’t be a problem but if at any point you hear an enemy shout, lay down prone and do not move for a good 10-15 seconds.

Objective A:

1) As soon as you exit the helicopter sprint towards objective A. While you’re running you’ll meet a T-intersection where you can go straight or turn right. Turn right and keep on running. The enemy will not spot you until a message appears in the center of your screen saying something like “Stay low and slow to avoid being spotted.” Or something along those lines. When you see this pop up, immediately stop running and crouch down.

2) Stay crouched and begin heading north-west. Keep moving until you see an outcropping of large boulders. As you pass these boulders you’ll go through a bush which will make noise but that’s ok no one will hear you. As you’re going through this bush keep to the left and head west. You’ll see another bush directly ahead and you’ll see a guard camp up ahead to your right.

3) Continue heading west. Once you’re through the second bush you’ll see an upslope to your left. Don’t go up there. Stay crouched and continue on westward towards the incline directly ahead of you with the rock on the right. When you reach the base of this incline go prone and continue on westward. Once you reach the first bush you’ll see the camp again. Turn southwest and you’ll see a slope. Go up the slope.

4) Continue heading up the slope in a south-southwestward direction. When you reach the top you can crouch again. You’ll see a guard tower off in the distance. Head southwest down the hill going straight for the A Objective until you reach it.

Objective B:

1) Directly ahead of you (southwest) you’ll see a little bridge going across a valley and further on a guard tower. Head west to the right of this bridge and go down into the valley. Ahead of you (west) you’ll see a big hill that the valley goes around. Stay crouched and follow the valley around this hill until you see a guard tower up ahead. Continue on forward until you reach the rock next to the swampy puddle. You’ll find you have to move towards the swamp side of the rock to get up onto it.

2) Head up the rock southwest, pass the bush, and then turn south. Head south towards B until you pass the guard tower we saw earlier at Objective A. It’ll be on your left. Once you can see that tower go prone and continue on south.

3) You’ll find yourself in a sort of valley. Keep to the left of this valley and stay prone. Up ahead you will see another guard tower. Continue on southward towards the guard tower until you’re pretty close to the upslope going up to this guard tower. You will notice the valley turning in a southeasterly direction. Stay on the left and head southeast. Again the valley will curve but back in a southern direction. Continue on south, keeping to the left until you see an upsloping to your right and a guard at the top of this upslope.

4) The valley will get narrower and curve towards the southwest. It gets slightly difficult here. Keep to the left and once you reach the bush hit your toggle speed key and proceed on southwest at a slow crawl. You may get spotted because that guard can see through the rock face to your right. If he shouts, stop for 10-15 seconds and then continue on in a southwestward direction. After all this you don’t want to be spotted so it’s best to move forward for five seconds, stop for two, and then move forward again for five. Continue like this until you reach the next bush on the left and have passed it.

5) Once past the bush you’ll see an upslope to your left. Don’t go up it. Continue on towards the bush ahead heading towards Objective B (southwest) using the same five seconds-two seconds technique. Once past this bush you’ll see a large hill to your left. Continue along the base of this hill at a fast crawl and head directly towards Objective B until you reach it.

Objective C:

1) For this part you must make sure you can see the lights. Press ESC and go to Settings. Under the Video tab make sure Projectors and Dynamic Lighting is ticked. You will notice you’re now at a fork. Up ahead to the southwest you’ll see a guard tower. Stay crouched and head directly towards it. Continue on until you’re near the first bush under the guard tower. Go prone.

2) Watch the spotlight and you’ll see it moves and stops in four locations. Once it reaches the one closest to you wait a bit and it will move off away from you again. Moving at a fast crawl follow the light. Don’t hug the left wall. Stay in the middle of the valley you’re in. You should be able to just hold down your forward button and won’t have to worry about catching up to it but just incase do not go into the light. As you’re going, count the amount of times the spotlight moves. From the beginning it will move three times. On the third time stop just in front of the light and don’t move. Let the spotlight move back in the other direction. It will move right over you. Don’t be alarmed. Just wait until the light is gone.

3) Once the light has receded start heading towards the big hill to the west. Once you reach the base of this hill crouch and follow it in a southward direction towards the guard tower. You’ll be able to see a little bridge like the one after you completed Objective A. To the right of this bridge you’ll see a bush. Keeping to the right head towards the bush. Walk through the bush at a slow crouch and proceed onto the rock, turn west, and head down into the creek bed. Follow the creek bed west until you see a jumble of boulders. There’s a rock on the left that you can go up to get up into the enemy camp. Staying crouched, proceed up it towards Objective C (southwest). When you reach the grass go prone.

4) Moving at a fast crawl continue on in a west-southwestern direction keeping to the right. You’ll pass a little rock on your left. Once past it you should see a truck. Head directly towards the left side of the truck. It will say you’ve reached Objective C but keep on moving towards the truck. Once you reach it hit the action key on the driver’s side door to signal for extraction. Voila!

Guide to Getting 36 Targets

1) Aim at the NECK
With the top of the sights aim so only the head of the target is resting in your sights. Also, do not aim while breathing. Wait for the breathing to stop before aiming at your target.

2) Do Not Shoot While Breathing
Shooting while breathing sets off your shot because your breath moves your aim, meaning the shot might not land where it was intended. Instead, wait for the sound of your breathing to stop.

3) Don't Put Down Sights
You don't have to do this, but you should. It saves yourself a second or two, but it really doesn't matter.

4) Concentrate
Not everyone lands this on their first try, but if you want to, TAKE YOUR TIME. Do not rush, because you might just miss that last target.

5) Once You Shoot and Miss, Stop
Once you miss, you have already lost the shot, so it's better to wait instead of just pumping your trigger until you hit your target.

6) Little Tips
1. Turn down mouse sensitivity.
2. Adjust contrast and brightness to increase target silhouette with the backround.
3. Get close to the screen.
4. Use CTRL to fire, not mouse button.
5. Turn your sound off. It helps not hearing the shot.
