The game was awesome, but really short
Mass Effect was a great game, but it left a lot to be desired for me. I was expecting a 15 hour long main quest w/ somewhere around the ball-park of 5-10+ extra hours of side quests. I'd say I did about 90% of the side quests I could find (I didn't get all of the book writing and mineral surveys possible; those were the only quests in my secondary I left unfinished). I also went through and did everything the paragon way and exhausted every investigation/conversation I could find from all the characters on the various worlds and on the normandy....
My final time when I finished the game was 14 hours 32 minutes; I believe it was Gamespot who claimed the main quest was 20 hours so I was a little baffled by how quick and easy it was to go through the game... I did also play it one level above the default difficulty.
The story was sweet, the graphics were amazing (The loading times and texture transition issues are minimal at best, they didn't effect gameplay at all for me), but I felt like it ended too quickly and easily. It seems to me like KOTR had a more mission-expansive environment than mass effect even though mass effect has several seperate cluster galaxies.
