Seed Destiny
 

Picked up the first 4 DVD's. Tell me, is this series more violent and awesome than the first? I'm 3 episodes in already, and I've already see severed limbs and a lot of fan service. Please tell me that Shin gets his face owned by some REAL pilots (ie Athrun and Kira). Also please stop making everyone look exactly the same or combinations of 2 other characters (I'm talking about Shin looking like a combination of Athrun and Kira). I dig ZAFT's new battleship too.. it's like the Archangel on crack.

Feel free to post minute spoilers, but mark accordingly.

I don't think its too much of a stretch to say that it is exactly like the first series. And the exact opposite is true of Shin, he owns everybody for most of the series. There is another loyalty issue, but I think the biggest difference is that the sides aren't as clear cut. Everything else...almost exactly the same.

What did we tell you? Shinn is a bitch. Unfortunately, he owns everyone until the last 1/4 or so of the series.

I'm guessing Kira and Athrun are just rusty from taking a long vacation. Also I can see why Shin would be stronger because he's fighting because of anger instead of protecting someone? I got through the first 5 episodes lastnight. I like the animation a bit better on this series. The mobile suit movements are much more fluid and exciting to watch. I also love seeing more Zaku's.. they are one of my favorite mobile suits.

The Impulse is one of my favorite suits in all of the SEED universe, unfortunatly they gave it to the stupidest kid in the entire series.

I think the Silhouette packs were much better excecuted than the Striker packs. Also, the Deutereon Beam was a nice addition.

The Impulse reminds me a lot of the original RX-78 Gundam with the Silhouette packs and looks similar to the Stamen from 0083.. though the entire 3 minute long combination sequence that it has to go through just reinforces my belief that Destiny is like 5 minutes shorter than SEED. I'm convinced they have increased the opening/ending sequences or something. 5 Minutes into each episode I'm already seeing the Intermission Scene.. then it's over in another 7 minutes.
