Connection
well I went home for a couple of days and I was trying to test out the fiber op line. The damn thing won't let me connect to xbox live and I tried everything it said to do. It says it's connected, then when I try to test xbox live it says wireless connection failed. I removed my firewall and no luck getting through.
So I tried to just connect it to the router; the first time the DNS server failed and the second time the IP Address failed. I had them on automatic and I was too pissed off to try to fuck with it. So sorry I really wanted to test out the fiber po but I have no computer networking skills. I really need to figure this out if I ever want to play live in a year. |
Did you try just kicking it a few times, it works on ACs sometimes.

It's wireless? I would suggest wiring it personally. If that's a possibility that is.

try hard wiring it, cuz i kno for a fact some wireless routers wont work with fiber optic connections, a friend of mine has verizon fios and he had to get a compatible wireless router

when I tried wiring it, the ip address couldn't be found. Is it possible to take another wireless router and hook it up to the fiber optic router. So I could have the xbox connect to the wireless router, who than connects to the fiber optic. Hope that make sense. |
