Basically, I ran on one router for about a year, had the ports on it open that i needed, the two big ones being warcraft 3 and Azureus. Just hooked up a second router in my room, tried opening the same ports on that one, yet they are all still blocked.

Basically the set up is our internet connection goes into one router, which branches off to my dads computer, then to my router, which splits to my computer, ps2 and 360.

any reason why its blocking everything off, even though i have the same ports opened on both routers?

ok, update, I found out i have to basically disable the second router as a router and just make it a switch, i've tried numerous times to do this with no avail, i have a D-Link DI-624 (thats the main router, that i want DHCP on) and the back up, which i just want to be a switch is a Linksys WRT54GS

Why do you need to run two routers? Becasue you don't want to run a bunch of wires through the house? If thats the case, why don't you try a wireless network. I know xbox's can run on wireless, I don't know about playstation.

I run two routers cause I live in a big house, the wireless does not reach my room, and I'm not spending 50 bucks to get a wireless extender when i have two extra routers sitting in my closet.

Now for people that might be able to help, I've really tried everything people have told me, I've pretty much converted it to a switch and this shit is still killing me.

Thats crazy haha. You must have a huge ass house. Becasue I know with my netgear wireless router I can take my laptop down to the beach and still get a connection. Also at college I get wireless out in the parking lot.

Where do you live?

I do indeed have a huge house, My entire campus at college is wireless, along with the park across the street, When I lived in Philly the entire block i lived on got free wireless internet as part of the city trying to make all of Philly wireless accessible.

Not the same out in the suburbs though.

and i live in PA, bout a half hour out of Philadelphia.

I have a friend from PA, he is acctually at my house right now haha. He lives near east strousburg. I know nothing really about PA thought so I don't know where that is is comparrision.
