Found out two week ago but since I don't come here often I forgot to tell you all...not to mention I had a little too much fun celebrating lol.

But yep, AFROTC HQ decided to give me a pilot slot..I graduate in december...won't know where or when till september at the earliest.

it's just a slot for undergraduate pilot training..after initial flight school, then UPT you get tracked in to either fighter/bombers, heavies or helo's.

Basically, won't know what i get to fly first (besides trainers) for another two years

hah you should go helos so i can "fix" the ones you are flying on. and always remember skoob it takes a college diploma to break it. but a high school diploma to fix them

I know the most basic rule: the more fucked up i bring it back, the bigger the case of beer for the crew chief and his people lol.

but I wouldn't mind flying helos if I could somehow get in to spec ops and possibly the osprey, but I know thats a long way out and probably harder than fighters..

when do you leave okinawa? you'll be coming up on like 4 years there soon won't you? do you want to re-enlist?

I hope to god I get to go to pensacola NAS/whiting AFB after I graduate. Our captain who's been with us since we joined ROTC might PCS to Eglin which isn't far away..he's 21AX.

lol skoob i already re enlisted. ive been in okinawa for coming up on 8 years.. and im an E6 you live in a time warp or something? i dont like to stay at one rank for long

Do enlisted generally stick around one place for a while? I know officers usually move every 3-4 years..

nah we dont stay in places very long. when you are married and go overseas you get either a long tour, 3 yrs, or an extended long tour, 4 yrs.. than 13 months before you leave you can choose to double your tour or keep the original date to leave. so i came over on an extended long and doubled it. so i will be leaving here soon, hate to leave this place i love it.. trying to stay overseas i really dont want to come back to the states anytime soon.

Any ideas where you might be headed or would prefer to go if you could?
