Republican or Democrat
Honestly i don't know how any American can even have to take that long to decide. especially now that Bush is trying to tie in 9/11 its obvious the scare tactics are not going to end with 4 more years of bush.. i hope no one is swayed by the bias reporting of Faux News and CNN. polls are not honestly the way it will turn out (even though Obama is ahead in them all) and i truly don't think it factors in first time voters and young voters. Like the other day CNN had a headline "Obama only holds slim margin..." in the article it is a 5% NATIONAL LEAD which in reality is huge/landslide. but it is a free choice and if you still haven't decided or honestly don't know each of the positions and how they have voted i suggest you visit this site
http://glassbooth.org/ its really amazing i spent while on there just looking and researching things.. i really hope anyone over the age of 18 and a citizen takes the time to register and vote, this election is far to important for you to let someone else decide for you. |
I'm republican, and McCain will be nothing like bush..he was actually in the military and knows how to run a nation.
Besides, Iraq is almost not even an issue anymore...violence has dropped significantly, the surge worked, and in ~5 years, the Iraqi's will be finished with training, and thats when we need to leave. As for an election being important..honestly, either candidate will do a good job i think..it's just as important as every other election we've had for president except a couple - Lincoln comes to mind. |
I cannot vote for anyone who does not even know how to use a computer. Leader of a technological society should be held to some kind of intelligence standard. Already had 1 underachieving president for 8 years, do not need another.
Republican or Democrat has Zero to do with it. |
*reserved for stupid comment as soon as i see fit to drop it on you all*

skoob i love you man but dont be dumb. he is exactly like bush i sat today and listend to him with disgust at his retarted speech. he berated the republican party at "failing america" does america have that short term of a memory? or does everyone just listen to the bias news media? MCCAIN VOTED WITH BUSH 95% OF THE TIME!! honestly my issue is not with iraq ive been there one way or another we will be out of the country in the next few years. all i care about is the republicans joy of scare tactics and slowly dissolving our civil liberties. it starts out small with just being able to legally listen to your phone calls.. you say well i havent got anything to hide.. its just a step in the wrong direction. its about the past 8 years and the world view of america going down the toilet even more so. i have been overseas for the past 6 years so ive had a good front row seat of it. its McCain saying he would never talk with a "terrorist nation" (Iran) then turning around and saying its a good idea. Its trying to pick fights with everyone and thinking we are better than every other nation in the world. which even if it is true there is no reason to flaunt it. whats wrong with other nations coming in droves to see the democratic nominee? yeah its really terrible for people to like our leader, we've seen what happens when every nation hates our leader for the past 8 yeras. 2 years ago the republicans got fired, they lost control of congress the american people where fed up with the way they had been running the country. and now just 2 short years later all the republicans have is a new face its the same crap. |

Amen. One major reason I HATE McCain is that he says he has "never used the internet." Does he even fucking know that the internet is essentially shaping this election? My views are conservative, but I am an independent. Fuck both sides, Obama's "change" is gayer than eight guys fucking nine, and McCain thinks the internet is something on a pirate ship. This election has fail written all over it. If Ron Paul is on there somewhere, he is getting my vote. |
Yeah, all the lies and fear mongering coming out of the McCain Campaign, not to mention it's run by the same people who got Bush elected(Karl Rove), Palin's speeches are written by Bush's speech writer, AND while they're saying they'll clean up Washington and get rid of lobbyists, McCain has 160 lobbyists working for his campaign, including one leading it. So no, I will not be voting to damn this nation.
Sooo, since I actually care about the future of this nation since i have 2 kids who need to grrow up here, I'll be voting Obama all the way! Donating & volunteering for his campaign as well. We can't do this last 8 years all over again. |
i donated to obama. i match up nicely with him and nader

i personally think party system be damned, the constitution isnt written to handle it, and we need to do away from it. voting for someone solely based on party is bullshit, i want all you obama people and McCain people to sit down and write down all the shit they feed you to get elected, then over the next 4-8 years depending..check off how much shit came true...i doubt you will have very many if any checks no matter who you vote for, there both failure, and all this bitching about bush..apparently someone voted for him, so its whoever voted for him(and the lazy fucks who didnt vote at all) who got him elected, we must be a nation of retards...to make a long story short im scared of what the next 4/8 years will bring, i do agree anything is better than the moron from texas we have now, FYI, i would have voted for Hillary personally. Im out, Khaoz chappy misses you...

Election wont even happen, worlds gonna end before the election

And you sir, are retarded, my roommates dads like that, last summer he had all these dates some guy in the bible predicted nuclear war, they all came and went and i just laughed at the guy (the man actually left town because we live in a town with a navy subase), now he thinks obama is the antichrist, and we will all find this out after obama is shot in the head and survives, religous zealots scare me almost as bad as the politcal ones, anyone that doesnt look at both sides of a argument before even speaking on the subject needs to be brought out to a field and shot to prevent breeding

yo ryan i joined the navy. aight peace.

What the hell does religion have to do with a scientific experiment re-enacting the big bang. Did you even watch the video?

I'm voting for Obama. Here is a simple analogy. McCain is the sheriff of noddingham, people who vote republican are the people inside the city who don't really know whats going on, and then the people who stand to benefit from extorting the poor. Obama is Robin hood, Biden is little John, and he is trying to take from the rich and give to the poor. Everybody knows who the good guy in that story is, so if you like good guys vote for Obama.
Actually, the choice is simple. If your primary concern is taxes, than if you make over 100k a year vote for McCain, if you make less vote for Obama If your primary concern is social, than if you care about civil liberties vote for Obama, if you care about traditional family values and a restriction of your freedoms in favor of security, vote for McCain. If your primary concern is the welfare of the country, than I don't think you have any other choice but to vote for Obama. National deficit when a Republican is in office, it goes up. Distribution of wealth, becomes wider. Economy(with the exception of Reagan) decelerates. There is also a correlation between GDP and the general welfare of a nation. There are also some tough decisions that are coming up that need the correct responses, not ignoring them. Global warming, and an energy crisis. Look up something called Reaganomics, and the fact that every Republican follows those lines of teachings, and you'll see what I am talking about. Their philosophy is to cut taxes and give incentives to companys to hire more workers and improve the economy, and that there will be a trickle down effect and the poor will benefit. In reality, that doesn't happen, so when you lose your lifes pension to some CEO who is spending it on an expensive manicure in Thailand, thats Republican economics at work. BTW, sup guys! |
energy crisis + obama = fail.
|
Quote:
The energy crisis is one big reason we need to elect Obama. He's the one with the plan that will work. McCain just copies anything Obama says that seems to be popular, then adds in his "drill drill drill! drill now!" even though there's proof that drilling off-shore wont help till 2030, and by then I would hope we're off oil. We need more renewable energy, and it'll help create jobs when we're going solar, and building windmills, creating better insulations etc, all over America. |
Quote:
renewable energy doesn't change the fact that we still need oil for a lot of things. buying oil from foreign countries doesn't help us at all..and the fact that we're sitting on a gold mine up north just means that when the time finally comes that we do start drilling, whomever is in control of Alaska will be filthy fucking rich and the world will turn to them for its oil. but in the end, this topic is retarded and i'll support the President whoever it is..you should think about doing the same. |
democrats aren't all that but they certainly beat the alternative...
|
Quote:
drilling up north would cost so much money its not even funny. it is estimated that there is more oil under canada then prolly anywhere else or close to it. but the fact is it would take so much to refine it cause its a ton of sludge, we just dont have the technology to do it economically yet. i will support whoever the president is but there isnt a new one yet so i have to support the one who i know will do a better job for our country not just for the military. i could give two shits less if i get a raise if the next president gets our country out of the crapper. and yes we do still need oil for some things but if you kill our need for gasoline for cars, which is the biggest reason we buy oil. there are not many things we absolutely have to use oil for. There is always an alternative we just need to not worry about pissing off the oil mafia doing it. i love the country and the freedom that it now provides and i just dont want to see anymore of our liberties get dissolved because of the "boogy man" |
Quote:
But yea, I can't see how blinding following anyone could ever go wrong, you know, its never gone wrong before right? |
Quote:
Well, it's McCain who doesn't want to drill in Alaska more. Ask Palin about that, heh. She's been trying to convince him that drilling in National Parks for oil is a good idea. Also, it's unAmerican, and against everything freedom stands for to NOT question your leadership. So no, as a person who actually believes in the ideals of a free nation, I will not automatically support my President no matter who it is. They need to earn our respect and do their job. |
Quote:
support isn't blindly following. it's one thing to sit and bitch about the world. it's another to try to go out and try to positively influence the world around you. THINK ABOUT IT |

so dont u think McCain and this administration should talk to rogue states and try to influence the world around us to make it a better place like Obama has said he wants to do and has been attacked multiple times for?? Wait, McCain flip-flopped on that idea too.. my bad |
Quote:
"If Iran abandons its nuclear program and support for terrorism, we will offer incentives like membership in the World Trade Organization, economic investments, and a move toward normal diplomatic relations. If Iran continues its troubling behavior, we will step up our economic pressure and political isolation." - Obama's website. Because I'm positive Iran really want's to join the WTO, and wants economic investments from the west. I don't care enough to continue anything about politics with you guys because in the end you're still going to vote for Obama and I'm still going to vote for McCain. And I would worry more about countries that actually have capabilities to strike within our borders..and have been testing us for the past year. Russian bear's have been testing the F-22's at Elemendorf since they first arrived..not to mention their exercise just south of us in Venezuela coming up. but anyway..my original point was, go out and do something for somebody. be nice to a stranger even though you don't have to be. maybe they'll do the same to somebody else, and maybe the image of american's being stuck up assholes will change. that would make a lot more difference in the world than whomever is elected President. |

and once again.. supporting isn't blindly following. please learn to read and have a fun debate without me. |
How much do you make yearly?
|
About $0
|
...sucks for you?
|
|
wow you guys are really taking it to skoob.
I see what your saying skoob, supporting is definitely not the same as blindly following. You can support your wife without blindly following her. |
does he love the president the same as well?
|
Palin won the debate last night, and here's why:
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/03/palin-flag-pin/ |
Tbh I don't think she answered a single question the moderator asked, it was like she was saying some ads over and over. I was under the impression it was going to be a debate....
|
these aren't debates, they're Q&A
|
with regard to the title of the event..... " vice presidential debate ", and I'm sure she said everything that they drilled into her. Simply from the fact she could never come up with an in depth answer to anything. The fact anyone would support her as second in command is appalling, I could get someone better from my local supermarket. If it were in the format of an actual debate it would have been hilarious to see Palin try to respond with followups.
