Map Pack Delayed
 

Well it turns out that they pushed back the Map pack. So we can stop looking forward to it at the end of this month because it's not going to happen now.

i wonder what causes delays...is it the company? the developers/programmers? or what? cuz from a programmers point of view, i wouldnt put a date on something until its completed...so in that case it makes me really frustrated that its probably just laying around somewhere waiting to be released...

I seem to think they put a date on something before they really sit down to think about the project itself. Then they try to work as fast as possible to make that date that they assigned ahead of time. Then it's pushed back because it was too much work to be completed by time the date hit so it's a major let down to the community.

That's just my theory, that or something must have gone wrong with the programming or something that has taken longer to fix then what they expected or just wasn't expected to happen at all. Maybe some of there programmers/developers got killed because apparently Ubisoft is well known for pushing back dates.

Ubi is evil. One theory is that they advertised the map pack which they did through articles.
so potential customers who were on the fence about buying this game bought the game for the new map packs coming out. They made a wanting desire (demand) to get more copies sold and no map pack until later. It would cost more to have it produced earlier, so they keep cost as low as possible by slowing production. That way they are producing other games like brothers in arms, graw, and who knows what else. The teenage mutant ninja turtles aracade game was published by ubi soft! So they have other interests with new games instead of producing more content for old games.

Hells Highway (brothers in arms) has been pushed to september 2007. All I can say is WHEN and IF that come out. My Vegas days will be numbered. I own the other two for PC, and they are the best WWII shooters ever. No contest. I suggest some people look into BIA Hells Highway.

Also on a side note. There was Ghost Recon 2 for PC. (Never came out. Thanks UBI.).

Haha im sorry but I have to laugh at that. COD doesn't even put a scratch on the BIA games in my opinion.

That's why COD got over 86 awards including the best WWII shooter of that year and I don't hear anything about Brothers in arms. I played it and it was good but I said this is the closest thing I have to COD since my computer broke and I could only play xbox.

Ubi $oft= Sloppy company. Great games but can't put them together properly.

Awards, Reviews, and peoples opinion don't mean anything to me. Just becasue a band is loved by the entire world doesn't mean they are talented. I mean look at fall out boy for example. They suck wind, yet they have millions of fans. Same goes with games, just becasue a game won a bunch of awards, doesn't mean its better then one with lower publicity. COD was linear and overdone in my opinion. I was sick of COD after COD1. Multiplayer was a cat and mouse chase with no overall goal.

Yeah, its horrible that they got so big. I don't know what the world is thinking.
