Rgr , I just heard about 10 peps who cant talk on vent for codec probs. , and most of the BF2 might swap over . But it's there if you need it .

Yeah TS is a lot better then vent.

I am a TS fan also since they changed vent. I may get with you killian and see if some how we can work out something on the TS server.

Im all for the TS server just wish ppl would start using it.

Besides, it's nice to show that we're active in more divs than just <newcomers starting div> to newbies. :/ it's cool and all that you guys would like to fix problems, but i'm sure theres a reasonble way to setup vent that will let everyone use it. contact me if you'd like me to research this.

Having both TS and vent I'm gonna go with vent hands down. Although if you have a bad computer TS takes less processing power than vent does.(wonder why ;) )

I would have to agree there blood , It sucks one works well for some and not for others , vent is better for me yes , but for some awful reason I crash when using it with BF2 Oo . And on the other hand running both may divide the clan as far as comms but it allows those that cant use vent comms to use . I think it comes down to the BF2 people , 80% of the BF2 guys have probs with vent , and it's more than likely BF2 haveing something to do with it . In bears case every codec was tried with no success . Any clue on what the issue could be ?

Meh, I take back my comment, the codecs on TS hate me even more.

A few guys came up with the idea of making the TS more of a public FA comm . And keep the vent the private . This will allow our non-FA players in our servers a way to communicate without coming into the FA private comms , and we can use it to talk to them and recruit and whatnot . I think I may set it up that way and leave a few channels locked just in case .

Sorry I didn't catch your question Killian. If most the BF2 guys are having issues, then what you said sounds like a very good option (having a public comms server). I'll look into BF2/TS/Vent issues in a bit or tomorrow and let you know if I come up with an answer. It could be as simple as disabling a feature in BF2 or changing a Vent feature. :)

ps. I've had some guys who want to come in our vent but are "upset" when I say it's FA-only. For temp uses like that it would be cool ^_^

I normally don't double-post but I need this to be seen. Killian, please get ahold of me on Xfire so that we can try some stuff with Vent. I found a couple *possible* solutions, but can't try them by myself as I don't have any issues with vent/bf2.

Lol @ cool peoples, anyway I've had alot of people from guilds wars on vent and none of them has had a problem, I can also play BF2 with vent open even though my computer isn't much to brag about. I'm sure theres probably a way to fix codec problems but if you like TS better feel free to use it, less lag on the vent then.

You guys have really helped by choosing TS , helped my point that is ,everyone that said TS are playing BF2 Oo .
