If you want flash, I suggest you track Mr. Vice down and stalk him. We've passed along our ideas of what to do with the header, hopefully halo can come through with something.

You wont see any real updates on site content until it is rolled out for you guys to test/break. Don't hold your breath on major things coming out in the next week or so as I have a lot on my plate to deal with atm.
